Primary Lymphosareoma of the Lung

Abstract
Left upper lobectomy was performed in a 42 year old korean woman who had cough lvith sputum, dull left chest pain and homogenous, round and hazy density at the left upper lobe on chest X-ray. The pathologic diagnosis of lymphocytic-lymphoblastic lymphosarcoma of the lung was made.
After operation her hospital course was uneventful. She had been follow-up studied till the postoperative 3 months and was well at that time.
A brief review of the primary lymphosarcoma of the lung was made in 55 cases reported in the literatures with our one case. Its incidence is very uncommon, The growth of the tumor is slower than the bronchogenic carcinoma. The tumor should be resected and in inoperable cases radiotherapy is markedly effective. The prognosis of the primary lymphosarcoma of the lung is better than bronchogenic carcinoma.
